The main purpose of the department is didactic providing for formation of operational and technical competence of the personnel of emergencies units.

Department main tasks:

1. Retraining and professional development of the personnel of emergencies units in the field of operational and technical work with fire and rescue technical equipment and communications.

2. Organization and conducting educational and methodical work on the department disciplines.
3. Improvement of teaching methods. Development and implementation in the educational process the innovation and advanced learning technologies based on domestic and foreign experience in the field of fire and rescue technical equipment and communications.

4. Organization and conducting research on the department specialization.
